Rackara Moses
Rackara Moses is a Ugandan educator, filmmaker, and media advocate dedicated to leveraging storytelling and education to address social injustices and uplift communities. Currently serving as the Director of Media and Communication at Neurxtend Foundation, Moses plays a pivotal role in amplifying the organization's mission to empower individuals with neurological disorders through comprehensive care, innovative research, and compassionate support.
Born in Pajule, Pader District, Moses holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education, majoring in English Language and Literature, from Gulu University. His academic foundation has been instrumental in his approach to media and communication, blending educational insights with creative expression.
Moses's career spans media content creation, documentary production, and community facilitation. As the Media and Communication Manager at Wokober Education Foundation and a Facilitator with BackUp Uganda, he developed expertise in advocacy communication, learning support, and creative programming for marginalized communities.
He is the writer and director of impactful films like Cost of Agony, addressing the causes of Nodding Syndrome, and City of Destiny, a story about protecting communities from land grabbers. Additionally, he has directed notable documentaries including Save the Land of Apaa and Balalo Must Go, both tackling land injustices in Northern Uganda.
In 2020, Moses co-founded DS R Media (now LR Media Initiative Limited), a media house committed to addressing social issues through visual storytelling. His work continues to inspire conversations on justice, land rights, health, and cultural preservation both locally and beyond.
At Neurxtend Foundation, Moses leads the development and execution of media strategies that highlight the organization's initiatives and impact. His storytelling expertise ensures that the narratives of individuals affected by neurological disorders are heard, fostering greater awareness and support for the cause.
When not behind the camera or in a classroom, Moses enjoys reading, writing stories, and watching documentaries. His passion for storytelling extends beyond his professional endeavors, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and community engagement
